Being The Good Samaritan

As a college, we were delighted to attend the annual Good Shepherd Mass at the Liverpool Metropolitan Cathedral. It was an opportunity to present our cheque to Nugent and to meet our new Archbishop, John Sherrington.

Founded in 1881, Nugent offers a diverse range of support for adults and children through their homes, education, families, community and social work services. Nugent work at the heart of some of the most vulnerable and disadvantaged communities.

The project that our donation will help fund is called ‘Our Future now’; a project that supports those at risk of poverty, those people who are leaving care, and for anyone else who is facing the challenge of everyday life.

Thank you to Nugent for inviting us to be involved in such a worthy charity.

Headteacher, Paul Stirling said, “the Annual Good Shepherd Mass has for many years provided our student community with a strong focus of helping other people, our extensive faith, evangelisation and social justice initiatives have at their heart, Jesus and the Gospels. Once again, we are proud as a catholic community to develop the gifts of love, justice, mercy and compassion through a quality Christian education that we provide here at Archbishop Beck Catholic College”.
