Adventure Dock & Radio City

“Spread love everywhere you go. Let no one ever come to you without leaving happier.” Mother Theresa

A Great Adventure in a Great City for a Great Cause

Radio City and Cash for Kids donated places for our students in Year 7 and 9 to visit the opening of the Adventure Dock Co. Mrs Langley & Miss Mercer chose students to be the first to have a go on the giant inflatable assault course, in association with Cash for Kids, for their Superhero fundraising activities. Chloe and Joe had the opportunity to complete a time trial against one of the radio presenters, with Joe taking the winning spot!

More students visited the Radio City Tower, with Mrs Langley, to hand over the money that was raised by the college, and had the exciting opportunity to have a tour around St Johns Beacon and see the radio booths and presenters. The view over our fantastic city was such an experience for our students, who enjoyed spotting some of their favourite landmarks.

Huge thanks to Radio City and Cash for Kids for organising the event, and to Hartley’s travel for donating the coach.

Our students certainly had a wonderful day. Once again highlighting the in-depth moral and social work that the college provides for our students They certainly finished the day spreading happiness and love! Not only for themselves but to a much wider community.

We certainly are a college at the “heart of the community”.
