Step into the NHS

During May half term, 3 Year 9 students attended the University of Liverpool’s ‘What it is like to work in the NHS’ insight day. Students listened intently to the apprenticeship opportunities available within the NHS. They toured the healthcare facilities at university, gained work experience advice and participated in workshops around NHS competencies and how to build them. The girls pictured said that the day was extremely insightful and Ellie offered the following comment about the day “I found out about different types of nursing jobs available and work experience skills. I now know what I need to do to get a nursing job, I’m particularly interested in midwifery.”
