Performing Arts Festival

The Archbishop Beck Catholic College Band took top honours at the 85th annual Liverpool Performing Arts Festival held in St George Hall. Liverpool on the 4th March.

The Archbishop Beck Catholic College is without a doubt one of the most decorated bands on Merseyside today. The Concert bands have all received recognition at the highest levels of the competition.

For four consecutive years the College Senior band has won the School Band section of the Liverpool Performing Arts Festival while the Junior Training Band has won Junior Band section for 5 consecutive years.

Here is a list of the Band’s and Soloist awards and honours from the Festival:

• Emma – Bronze Medal in the Vocal and instrumental sections
• Clarinet Trio – Gold Medal in the Composers section
• James – Bronze in the U/16 Woodwind
• Radha – Silver in the U/16 Woodwind
• Saxophone Ensemble – Bronze Medal in the Jazz section
