Breast Cancer Awareness Month

Thursday 23 October 2025

The sixth form are committed to supporting an important cause each month. This month has been breast cancer awareness. The students have taken part in several awareness and fundraising activities during October. Thursday was our ‘wear it pink day’.

Sixth formers were asked to wear something pink to show their support and were incredibly generous with their donations.

The cake sale proved hugely popular with students and staff alike with the wide range of goodies selling out by the end of lunchtime.

A huge thank you to the student leadership team for organising, and an even bigger thank you to everyone that has supported the cause by helping raise awareness and raised funds through their kind donations.

We expect to raise more than £300 for local breast cancer awareness charities.

November is Men’s Health Awareness Month, with International Men’s Day being November 19th. The main aim is to shed light on major male health problems, including prostate cancer, testicular cancer, mental health issues, and suicide prevention.
