November – Men’s Health Awareness Month
Wednesday 19 November 2025
November is Men’s Health Awareness Month, with International Men’s Day being November 19th. The main aim is to shed light on major male health problems, including prostate cancer, testicular cancer, mental health issues, and suicide prevention.
The students have taken part in several awareness and fundraising activities during November. The undoubted highlight was the ultra-competitive Sixth Form / staff charity netball tournament.
Wear it blue day
The cake sale proved hugely popular with students and staff alike with the wide range of goodies selling out by the end of lunchtime.
A huge thank you to the student leadership team for organising, and an even bigger thank you to everyone that has supported the cause by helping raise awareness and raised funds through their kind donations.
We expect to raise more than £400 to support causes such as male suicide prevention and testicular cancer research.
Throughout December we will be supporting raising funds and awareness of the work of local children’s charities. An annual highlight is the sixth form Christmas jumper day on Thursday 11th December.
Thank you to everyone for their continued enthusiasm and support.
Breast Cancer Awareness Month
Thursday 23 October 2025
Sixth formers were asked to wear something pink to show their support and were incredibly generous with their donations.
