Pastoral Team Welcome

---
We are delighted that your child is starting their journey into secondary education at Archbishop Beck Catholic College and would like to welcome you to our college community!

Transition from primary into secondary education is an important milestone in the lives of young people and their families. At Archbishop Beck we strive to provide our new students and their families with a smooth and extensive transition programme so when the first day comes, everyone involved is feeling excited and motivated rather than nervous. This process begins in the summer term and gives our prospective new students a chance to meet key staff, make new friends and find out more about life at Archbishop Beck. If you have a look on our website you will see some frequently asked questions that year 6 are keen to find out the answers to before joining our college. There is also some useful information in the parent guides to help you and your child prepare for secondary school.

Many of our current Year 7 students enjoyed the Summer School which took place during the holidays and served as an excellent way to prepare for the start of their journey here with us. Students used it as a great opportunity for meeting new friends and getting to know the site, as well as taking part in a range of academic and enrichment opportunities.

Please have a look at our virtual tour video presented by some of our fantastic staff and students. This will give you an idea of what a typical day is like here at the College and show you around our amazing facilities.

If you have any questions, please email us and we will respond, collate your emails and then update the frequently asked questions’ if appropriate.

Keep checking back on our website as we will update the ‘Intake 2024’ section regularly.

We look forward to meeting you and your child in the near future!

Yours sincerely

Mrs. C. Stirling
