In order to support our vision of helping our students find their purpose, we need the support of both the public and private sectors. The careers programme is the bridge between education and employment. Therefore our students need to understand, what skills and qualifications are required to be successful in the work place.

Careers Talks
All Years
Careers Talks are designed to inspire and inform a class of 20 students, or a whole school year of 180 during an assembly.

They would cover the presenter’s:

 

  • Qualifications.
  • What employers want from young people?
  • Good and bad parts of their job.
  • Pay and Benefits.
15-30 minutes September 2018 onwards.
Careers Fairs
Year 9
We want to expose our Year 9 students to as many careers as possible. This is so they can make better, more informed choices in the future.

The event will happen during business hours and students would visit all stands in their form groups, ensuring your time is utilised effectively.

We would like you to discuss your business and its opportunities. Whether that be apprenticeships, technical qualifications or career paths.

Careers Visit
Year 10/12
Careers Visits – We would like smaller groups of 15 students who are interested in a specific career path, to be able to visit your place of work. (With a member of our teaching staff.) The purpose is to inspire and expose students to different working environments. 2-3 Hours Any dates from 18th June 2019 – 18th July 2019
Mock Interviews
Year 12/13
Mock Interviews – Prepare Year 12/13 students for interviews. You will interview 5 students for approximately 30 minutes. The first part of the interview will discuss their CV with the second part consists of a mock interview. 3–Hours June 2019 for Year 12 students
Work  Experience Year 12 Every Year 12 (sixth form students) aged 17 must complete 5 days of work experience.

It is important for our students to gain access to quality work placements. We understand the impact work experience can have in supporting their UCAS statement or applications for employment.
