Catch-Up Premium

MATHS – Key Stage 2 scores are not available for the 2021/2022 cohort due to the KS2 SATs being cancelled. The maths and SEND departments will work together to assess the number age of each student in the cohort and identify the number of students who would benefit from numeracy intervention.

To ensure that the teaching group sizes are reduced for those students who are in the 'catch up' groups in Phase 1.'Catch up' students are set in three sets with support in place. Of the three sets, two are significantly smaller in size than the rest of the year group. The third group is slightly smaller than the remainder of the year group but is being taught by a departmental leader.
To ensure that there is an appropriate SOW in place which focuses on the appropriate skills required for this group in Phase 1.SOW adapted in appropriate sets to ensure that the students are covering the skill areas that they are weakest in based on previous years' experience, QLA information, Student Voice and primary liaison.
To provide appropriate resources for this cohort for use in Phase 2.Additional resources, in place ready for use in individual/small group intervention for Phase 2.
