Courage, Commitment, Champions: At College Sports Day
Thursday 2 July 2026
This week has been a fantastic celebration of sport, with all pupils enjoying a wide range of exciting Sports Day events. Throughout the week, year 7, 8, 9 had the opportunity to take part in activities including volleyball, MMA, dodgeball, ultimate frisbee and football tennis, showing great enthusiasm, teamwork and determination. It has been wonderful to see pupils encouraging one another, demonstrating excellent sportsmanship and giving their very best in every event. There is still one final event to look forward to today, and we can’t wait to finish the week on a high with another fun and memorable sporting challenge.
Yesterday’s LSSP Celebration Event was a fantastic day enjoyed by everyone involved. The morning was packed with exciting sporting competitions, where the boys produced an outstanding performance and proudly returning back to school with medals and a trophy from the dodgeball and kinball events, while the girls competed brilliantly in netball and football, showing determination, resilience and excellent teamwork throughout. In the afternoon, the celebrations continued with a variety of fun activities, including a bouncy castle, face painting and a thrilling rock climbing wall. It was a wonderful way to recognise the pupils’ hard work and sporting achievements, creating lots of smiles and lasting memories for all.
