Meet the Professionals

On Wednesday 5th June our year 10 students were given the opportunity to meet Rachel Vincent who is a student Doctor at the University of Liverpool studying Medicine and Surgery. Rachel is also the Healthcare Advocate for a community of Northwestern women in STEM aiming to build connections between like-minded women from similar backgrounds and empower others through networking and advocacy. Rachel was the head girl at Archbishop Beck 3 years ago and it was a pleasure to have her back in the college delivering a session to our year 10 students on her career journey from starting at Archbishop Beck in year 7 all the way through her 6th form journey and applying for university. She presented a real insight into university life, work experience opportunities which the students should be thinking about now and also career opportunities within the medical profession.
