Finland Trip
Saturday 15 March 2025
The world is a book, and those who do not travel read only one page Saint Augustine
Six of our post 16 students visited Finland over February half term as part of a Turing Funding project which enabled the students to undertake a variety of educational, physical, health and social, cultural experiences and much more over a two-week period. Archbishop Beck Catholic College along with another three schools were fortunate enough to be nominated to participate in this once in a lifetime experience.
The outcomes of the trip were to ensure all students gained valuable experience/skills such as:
-
-
- Vocational Learning
- Employability Skills
- Enhanced Life Skills
- Cultural Experiences/Educational Visits
- Social and emotional wellbeing
- Healthy Living
- Sport/Team Building
- Educational Experiences
- Much, much more……………………….
-
The students feedback was nothing but positive, they loved every minute of the experience and would strongly encourage other post 16 students to step out of their comfort zone and put themselves forward as “Life is for living.”
