Carpe Diem

“Carpe, carpe. Carpe diem. Seize the day.”

Saturday morning dawned bright and our ESU public speaking team gathered at the college for their training session. The sun was shining, birds were singing, and nerves were buzzing – in a good way.

We ditched the usual classroom setup and opted for some fresh air and freedom. Speakers practised their pieces under trees enjoying the lovely environment the college has to offer. Feedback was given, tips were shared and laughter echoed around the grounds.

It was a productive morning, with everyone stepping up and owning their space. Etam, Summer, and Tom particularly smashed their roles in the team, huge congratulations to them for achieving such a high standard of preparation.

Now, with the ESU regional final looming on Thursday evening, the team’s ready. They’re prepped, they’re practised, and they’re ready to go. Let’s bring our A-game and make it happen. Good luck, team.
