Congratulations to our Year 12 Physics students who recently took part in the prestigious Senior Physics Challenge Competition this competition was part of The British Physics Olympiad.
Students took part in a voluntary written challenge in which Year 12 students are set a series of physics quandaries.
Daniel and Christopher each received a silver award and Luke received a bronze award.
They have been presented with their certificates and are justly proud of their achievements.
What is the British Physics Olympiad?
The British Physics Olympiad offers a series of competitions aimed at students in years 7/8 to 13, with over 60,000 students entering our competitions each year. Although the aim of the final BPhO Round 2 paper is to select the UK team for the International Physics Olympiad, the other papers are intended to interest a broader range of students, with typically over 6-10,000 students entering each of the Intermediate and Senior Physics Challenges. The Junior Physics Challenge is particularly designed to appeal to a wide range of abilities and to stimulate interest in Physics.
