Admissions Consultation

The governing Body of Archbishop Beck Catholic College has been directed to review our admission arrangements by the Archdiocese and is ow consulting on the proposed policy for September 2027 entry.

The main change related to the way the sibling rule is applied. Currently, children with a brother or sister at the college are prioritised under specific oversubscription criteria. From September 2027 onwards, siblings will no longer be listed as a separate category. Instead, the presence of a sibling already attending the college will increase the priority of an application within the relevant category. For example, a Catholic child with a sibling at the college will be placed above other Catholic applicants in that category.

The consultation is open from Tuesday 16 December 2025 to Tuesday 27 January 2026. We welcome comments and feedback from you during this period.
