Headteacher’s Challenge Award
A group of inspirational Year 7 students enjoyed their award ceremony on Wednesday 7th June, following the completion of their individual projects to complete the annual Head Teacher’s Challenge Award.
The Award requires our newest students to challenge themselves to complete an extended project on a topic of their own choice. The Award seeks to showcase our student’s independence, resilience, and determination. The titles chosen this year included topics from the field of sport, holistic therapies, dance, film, animation, history, photography and literature.
We also enjoyed a project written by the great nephew of one of our previous students who sadly lost his life from an IRA bomb whilst serving in the army in Northern Ireland. We celebrate the life of Vincent Scott every year at our annual Awards Evening with an award in his honour.
This project written by his great nephew served as a wonderful tribute to a past pupil we look to remember. I’m sure you’ll agree that we saw a wonderful set of projects this year and we are so very proud of each of these fabulous students. Well done to all!
