College Represented at Prestigious Reformation Commemoration

Liverpool Hope University Commemorated the 500th anniversary of the Reformation on Sunday evening, 5th November, with a dinner and cantata in the Great Hall of the University.

Welcoming guests, Professor Gerald Pillay, Vice-Chancellor & Rector said, “Two great traditions join tonight in commemorating this 500th anniversary. We have a golden thread of witness to unity, grace and cultural that our event shares tonight, sharing togetherness, celebration in music and prayer.”

Headteacher of the College Paul Dickinson said, “Our connection with Hope University is as a valued friend and the work of the only ecumenical university in Europe needs supporting, applauding and encouraging. We were delighted that Mr Hicks was able to represent our community on Sunday evening where civic, religious and people from Liverpool and beyond joined together at this wonderful commemoration.”
