Congratulations to Callum Smith!
Congratulations to Alumni, Callum Smith from everyone at Archbishop Beck Catholic Sports College. Callum became the new WBA Super-Middleweight champion of the world in Saudi Arabia on Friday, 28th September, 2018. Callum also retained his WBC Diamond belt and picked up the vacant Ring Magazine bauble and the Muhammad Ali Trophy.
He joins his brother Liam who has also been a world champion, whilst Paul and Stephen have also had world title fights.
Headteacher, Paul Dickinson, stated “The College is extremely proud of the four Smith brothers for their achievements. They are excellent role models for the students and regularly visit the College to support the students. Callum’s achievement is well deserved and it would be fantastic to see him defend his titles in Liverpool, hopefully at Anfield”.
