When you were younger what did you want to be?

I originally wanted to be a pilot and then later a doctor.

What is the latest book you are reading?

I am reading The Witcher series of books. I think I’m on book three, Blood of Elves.

What is your all-time favourite movie?

See no evil, hear no evil.

What advice would you give your teenage self?

Stop worrying about what others may think of you when you make choices.

What have you been doing since that time?

I went on to complete an MChem Master of Chemistry with Research in Industry at the University of Liverpool. From there I worked for 3 and a half years as a Development Chemist formulating low-friction and non-stick coatings. Since December 2019 I have been working as a Technical Service Manager helping to develop new industrial coating and supporting their use across various industrial markets.

What do you have hope to achieved in the next 5 years?

Within the next 5 years, I hope to achieve my chartered chemist status (CChem) and be looking to move towards a management role within my industry.
