Farewell to our Senior College Ambassadors

“If you’re brave enough to say goodbye, life will reward you with a new hello.” – Paulo Coelho The college community this week says a fond farewell to our senior students. Headteacher Paul Dickinson praised the whole student body for working so hard in a very difficult pandemic climate. On behalf of our senior students, Halle Afflick and Joe Roberts had the chance to meet up with Paul Dickinson, Headteacher, to say thank you and farewell. The college also presented the Head boy and Head Girl with special college medals.
“The college has enabled me to harness my academic, creative and intellectual potential. “I have been fortunate enough to be presented with an abundance of opportunities, experiences, and challenges whilst at the college, these include: the college band, chamber choir and public speaking. Concerts, festivals, intellectual debates, and prestige events I have participated in over the years as a student at the college have truly set me up for life. I look forward to continuing my education at University. Thank you!” “I would do it all again in a heartbeat.” Joseph Roberts (Head Boy) 2021

“I have thoroughly enjoyed my seven years of education at Archbishop Beck, and I strongly believe that this is due to our tight-knit college community and the staff who work tirelessly to ensure that we strive to the very best of our ability. Our college offers much more than just a basic curriculum, as there is always a chance for everybody to shine in their own unique way, through the plethora of extra-curricular activities on offer. I now feel extremely confident in my move away from Sixth Form to higher education, because of the support offered by our amazing sixth form centre and all my teachers. Hence, I aim to carry on my educational journey at Durham University, starting at the end of September. I aim to study criminology and to then complete a law conversion course, fulfilling my aspiration of becoming a solicitor.” “Thank you!” Halle Afflick (Head Girl) 2021
