Miles for Refugees

If you judge people, you have no time to love them.” Saint Mother Teresa of Calcutta The college community was delighted to learn of an initiative of two former students. Sophie and Katy Hartles have decided to become involved in the “Miles for Refugees” challenge, which is taking place this September. They will be raising money for the British Red Cross; an amazing charity that supports refugees, asylum seekers and survivors of trafficking. Katy and Sophie said, “We both feel now more than ever, in light of what’s happening in Afghanistan, the help and support from Charities like this one is absolutely vital”. The world needs people like Katy and Sophie! So over the course of September they are aiming to collectively run the distance from Damascus to Beirut which is 72 miles. This is just one of the journeys trekked by a refugee in order to survive and be safe.
