Music Catch-Up Programme

“Music education can help spark a child’s imagination or ignite a lifetime of passion. When you provide a child with new worlds to explore and challenges to tackle, the possibilities are endless. Music education should not be a privilege for a lucky few, it should be a part of every child’s world of possiblity.” Hillary Clinton Congratulations to the college musicians who took part in an intensive 2 day “catch-up” music training programme during the recent half term. The days were organised to include full rehearsals, master-classes and sectional rehearsals. The aim of the two day programme was to help, assist and develop students instrumental skills following a long break from ensemble rehearsals due to Covid 19. Director of Bands, Mr Chris Tratt, said, “ the intensive programme allowed our students to develop their skills, motivation and commitment to ensemble music Well done to you all for your hard work and dedication”. Mr Tratt also paid tribute to the group of Tutors who worked with our students during the two days. Well done everyone.
