Samantha Giles Workshop

In the week beginning Monday 6th December, our students were fortunate to meet actor and author Samantha Giles during assembly and workshop reading sessions. The Emmerdale actress inspired students with stories of her acting career and recently published books Rosemary and Witches of Pendle Hill and Rosemary and the Book of the Dead. Samantha also spent time watching our very own incredible performers rehearsing for Matilda. It was a wonderful experience and we hope that the messages of resilience and dreaming big resonate with our students. The books are available to order from Amazon. Samantha commented on the good behaviour of our pupils and especially enjoyed the Q & A session at the end of each year group assembly. Our favourite comment coming from Y7 Curtis Rushton “I watch you every night, you’re my favourite!” Samantha was also very impressed with the rehearsal of Matilda that will be performed in February 2022.
