Blowing His Own Trumpet

“Life is like a trumpet – if you don’t put anything into it, you don’t get anything out of it.” William Christopher Handy

Congratulations to Anthony who was recently awarded an Archbishop Beck Catholic College Medal of Honour.

Headteacher, Mr Stirling, was honouring Anthony who has played his Trumpet at all the college’s Remembrance Day Service. His last performance was this year on November 11th, 2022.

Mr Stirling said, “the Last Post and Reveille was beautifully played again this year and we thank Anthony for all his musical leadership within the college community and wish him well as he prepares for his final A Level examination.”

Anthony said of his time at the college “that he has been supported, encouraged and developed as a musician and paid tribute to all his teachers for such outstanding support over the years.”
