Year 7 retreats

Friday 20 September 2024

The theme throughout each day was to look at how we can live a life of fullness in being the best versions of ourselves, to build the Kingdom of God. Using examples set by St Bonaventure and Archbishop Beck, using the qualities they valued to set an example for others to follow in the world today. These values are Faith, Hope, Charity, Morals (Integrity), Courage, Humility and Community (Kinship). Well done to all of our Year 7 students who travelled to Lowe House in St Helens for their first retreat with their form class and form tutor. Each student considered what it means to be a member of Archbishop Beck Catholic College and how they can use the college values in their own lives. The students also considered the background of St Bonaventure who is our founding saint. Students had such a lively experience and one student said, ‘I really got to know my form class members and what the values of Archbishop Beck mean to me in my own life’.
