Outstanding Performance at Public Speaking Contest

If your actions inspire others to dream more, learn more, do more and become more, you are a leader.” John Quincy Adams Congratulations to Neve Kirby Collins who represented the college at the Grand Final of the Catenian Public Speaking contest. This prestigious event was held in Manchester in September 2024. Although not the outright winner Neve’s presentation was highly praised by the judges who said “that your speech was truly inspirational, motivational and emotive.” Speaking after the event Neve said, “throughout this competition I have gained great experience from the art of Public Speaking and a greater confidence to stand up and speak to an unknown audience” adding “I would encourage young people to seize the opportunity that I have been afforded here at Archbishop Beck Catholic College” Neve’s speech was titled “The Impact of Barbie” !!
