Regional ESU Qualifying Heat Success

Archbishop Beck Catholic College wins regional ESU qualifying heat.

Students from Archbishop Beck Catholic College are celebrating after winning a regional heat of the English Speaking Unions local qualifying round at Birkenhead School this week.

The College Team Ellis, Michael and Lewis beat a strong field to be declared outright winners. They will now proceed to the final to be held at the Athenaeum Club in Liverpool, in February 2013.

Headteacher Paul Dickinson, who was present to hear the winning team in action described the outcome, “as truly wonderful and a testament to the hard work of the College Team”.

The judges said the “quality of work of the College simply made them the outright winners”.
