It’s Good to Talk !

While most teenagers were enjoying a well-earned rest over the recent half term, a group of Debaters from Archbishop Beck Catholic College, Liverpool, Debating Society travelled to Parliament House, London to take part in an event to develop a National Strategy for Child poverty. The culmination of this two day event was to have a debate surrounding the issues with other young people from around the country. The team representing Liverpool were deemed winners in the Debating Forum! Ellis speaking after event said, “This is an ongoing strategy and we were delighted to have the chance to talk about the issues that surround child poverty in our society. We hope the Government will implement strategies and show the way forward to deal with this very important issue and concern.” Well done to Ellis, Lisa and Michael.
