This prestigious event was held in the River Room in the House of Lords. The presentations were made by HRH Princess Anne, President of the ESU. Lewis said, “The atmosphere was amazing and I really enjoyed chatting with Princess Anne.” Princess Anne was very interested to hear of Lewis’ continuing success. Lewis was also delighted to meet up with other competitors whom he had become friends with over the last 12 months. The event was hosted by Lord Paul Boateng who made everyone feel very welcome. In his address to the guests he congratulated all who had won awards and thanked all who had help make the events leading to this presentation such a success. He quoted an African proverb which was made to express his thanks to all when he said, “Each and every feather helps the eagle to soar.” Lewis said at the end of the event, “I felt privileged, honoured and very appreciative to all who had helped my public speaking skills to soar.”
