High Achievers
Archbishop Beck Catholic College are celebrating after students gained top honours at the recent Wirral Music Festival.
The College ensembles achieved the following awards:
- Class 202 Archbishop Beck Concert Band – The Eva Cann Trophy 1st Place with Distinction
- Class 205 Archbishop Beck Jazz Combo. – The Flora Cann Trophy 1st Place with Distinction
- Class 207 Archbishop Beck Concert Band – The Anthony Ridley Orchestra Award 1st Place with Distinction
- Class 58 Archbishop Beck Chamber Choir – Open Choral Bebington Cup 1st place awarded with Outstanding
Other honours gained by individual college students:
- Class 168 Brass solo (17 years and under) – Sean (trumpet) 1st place
- Class 163 Woodwind solo (13 years and under) – Emma (clarinet) 3rd place
- Class 163 Woodwind solo (13 years and under) – Sally (saxophone) 2nd place
- Class 168 Brass solo (17 years and under) – Elspeth (trumpet) 3rd place
- Class 163 Woodwind solo (13 years and under) – Jack (clarinet) 4th place
- Class 168 Brass solo (17 years and under) – Lewis (tuba) 4th place

Year on year, quality, high commitment and outstanding achievement in Festivals has been a Gold standard of our Department.
