Liverpool Basketball Champions!

Archbishop Beck year 8 successfully retained the Liverpool Cup in a repeat of last years final against Blue Coat. In a highly competitive final the team from Beck edged out their close rivals 44-42 in a tense finale. Team Coach Mr Giles said “It was a game which could have gone either way in the final minutes but great credit goes to the players for digging deep and showing great character for holding their nerve to seal the win”. The teams win comes on the back of their success in winning the Merseyside Youth Games were they represented the district of Liverpool.
