Liverpool Playhouse Visit

Our Year 7 Literacy Scholarship students recently attended a production of The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas at the Liverpool Playhouse. This was an engaging and moving experience for the students who commented that they found the plot and portrayal of characters incredibly poignant. They undertook a workshop in school to further explore the context of the novel and the issues and ideas surrounding the text. This experience will be followed with a creative writing competition for these students and is one of the activities and opportunities designed to enhance students enjoyment and participation in this area.
