Walker Art Gallery Trip
Year 12 Art students recently spent the afternoon viewing and sketching the “Reality” (exhibition of Modern and contemporary British painting) at the Walker Art Gallery.
It was impressive to see how keen they were to sketch some of the work, without being phased by passers-by. The onus of the trip was to highlight the significance of SMSC (Spiritual, Moral, Social and Cultural development) in art.
The students showed encouraging enthusiasm and maturity at the Gallery. Perhaps the challenge of the less conventional Tate Gallery next?
