University of Liverpool Trip

The University of Liverpool hosted a Year 8 Campus Visit Day on Wednesday 2nd December. The event involved a total of 70 Year 8 students coming into the city to experience 4 university campuses.

This event was run in collaboration with the University of Liverpool, Liverpool John Moores University (LJMU), Liverpool Hope University and the City of Liverpool College. Having all four city based institutions collaboratively working together allowed the young people to experience the different types of provision available within Higher Education in Liverpool.

Students engaged in a number of truly engaging, interactive sessions throughout the day, which introduced them to how life would be like as a university student. Students were also given the opportunity to consider how they can achieve their long term goals.

The students all enjoyed this opportunity to visits all four institutions in one day and were able to discover more about the options available to them regarding their local universities. The positive feedback from the students has shown that you can never start planning for your future too early!

The University of Liverpool staff sent a message thanking the students for their enthusiasm and openness to such an experience.
