Raising Stroke Awareness

During all assemblies the week commencing Monday 3rd October, Mr Postlethwaite presented to pupils information aimed at raising their awareness of what a Stroke is, what to do in suspecting a stroke is happening and the work of the Stroke association. The assemblies were well received by all students who generously gave money towards the work of the Stroke Association at the end the assembly. On Sunday 9th October 2011, Mr Postlethwaite ran in and completed the Liverpool marathon in a time of 3 hours 26 minutes and was running on behalf on the Stroke Association. Along with the donation made by students from their assembly and members of teaching staff, Mr Postlethwaite was able to raise £382 which has since been sent off to the Stroke Association to support them in their work.
