Top Honours for College Musicians
“To achieve great things, two things are needed; a plan, and not quite enough time.” Leonard Bernstein
After many months of solid preparation the college music ensembles took the stage to take part in the 2017 Wirral festival of Music speech and Drama.
“Your presentation enabled you to engage with the audience emotionally as well as being spectators. A terrific sense of style that was convincing – well done. Quite a triumph for you all. Very well done!”
“An excellent performance technically and artistically”
“You worked so hard to achieve an amazing standard.”
These were some of the wonderful comments from the Adjudicators who judged at the Festival when they were commenting on the performances of college ensembles.
- College Concert Band 1st place in large instrumental ensembles and School Orchestra section.
- Saxophone ensemble 1st placing.
- College Chamber Choir 2nd place Open Choir section.
A number of the college musicians then on Saturday 25th March took part in the Liverpool University’s Performing Arts Festival. This has been a busy term for all musicians who worked very hard to achieve an amazing standard.
