Chester Music Festival

In a Word OUTSTANDING!

Congratulations to all the college musicians who took part in the Chester Music Festival on Saturday 28th April 2018.

The Senior Concert Band gained first place in the Open Wind Band section and then were awarded the Hilda Catherall Trophy for the outstanding performance of the Festival.

The adjudicators were full of praise for the many performances by the college students.

  • Junior Band 3rd
  • Lewis 3rd
  • Nathan and Alex 3rd / 4th placing

Speaking after the event Paul Dickinson, Headteacher said “in this time when the Arts are under serious threat in our schools we continue to believe that the talents of our young people must be given every opportunity to be developed and taken on to the highest possible outcomes.”
