College Public Speaking Teams Win Through!

“He who wants to persuade should put his trust not in the right argument, but in the right word.” Joseph Conrad

Our language is changing, literacy levels are dwindling and our grasp of grammar is at crisis point, so you wouldn’t be alone in thinking what is happening in the world of education!

But do not despair, here at the college we have maintained excellent results in English and a wider menu of literacy challenges for our students.

A fine example is the college’s commitment to the programme of events organised by the prestigious English Speaking Union (ESU). The college’s public speaking team won the area heat on Friday 23rd November 2018, to win a place in the Liverpool & Merseyside Branch final on Saturday 26th January 2019.
