Summer College Band Camp (August 29-31, 2019)
The Archbishop Beck Catholic College Summer Band Camp provided woodwind, brass, and percussion students with experiences that allowed them to expand their musicianship at the individual and ensemble levels.
Our College Band Camp gave students a challenging, positive learning environment based upon their current musical development.
The focus of our camp centred around the advancement of techniques related to wind band development.
Our staff for the camp were: Mr Chris Tratt, Dr Anne James (Hope University), Ms Helen Goldsmith, Mr Bernie Thelwell, Ms Philippa Rowlands, Mr Andrew Lockhart and Mr Bruce Hicks.
Mr Tratt, Senior Band Director, said at the conclusion of the camp, “our student’s worked so well as a team, supporting each other, encouraging and meeting the high musical demands placed on them”
