A wonderful turnout for the Launch of the 2019 College /Primary School instrumental programme. On Wednesday evening 2nd October the college presented its annual instrumental Hire Evening.

Archbishop Beck Catholic  College has a practical, engaging Music program for students  from Year 4 through into Year 13 at the college. As well as being great fun in itself, a great deal of research has shown that learning an instrument at Archbishop Beck Catholic College develops concentration, assists academic achievement and builds strong social connections.

The aim of the Archbishop Beck Catholic College Instrumental Music Program is to allow as many students the opportunity of enjoying music through learning a musical instrument and playing in a band, and that no child be disadvantaged through financial circumstances.

Mr Chris Tratt, Band Director at the College said, “for many years now we have been shaping the futures of our young students through our music programme”, adding ” that our ensembles have repeatedly  gained top awards at all major Music Festivals and this is down to the dedicaion of our studnets”
