Music Festival

Beck Hitting all the right notes and yes in the right order!

The Archbishop Beck Catholic College Band took top honours at the Southport Festival of Drama and Music held recently in Southport (Tuesday 12th October)

The Archbishop Beck Catholic Sports College is without a doubt one of the highest achieving School music ensembles on Merseyside today. The Concert band has received recognition at the highest levels.

For four consecutive years the College Senior band has won the Youth Ensembles section of the Southport Music Festival.

The adjudicator award top marks to the Archbishop Beck Catholic Sports College Concert Band and described the performance as impressive, exciting and fantastic. The Concert band from Archbishop Beck was performing against other five other school ensembles

Earlier in the day pupils from the College also won woodwind sections, Helen first in the Open Woodwind and Bethany gaining 2nd in the same section, Radha won the under 16 Woodwind section, with Sarah 2rd place and Katy gaining a third placing in the under 14s Woodwind section.
