University Life

Our Year 7 & 8 students recently were able to experience first hand anecdotes of University Life from our undergraduate visitor Haneen. Haneen grew up in Anfield and threw sheer determination was successful in gaining a place to study Law at the prestigious University of Liverpool.

Students heard first hand stories of how Haneen overcame adversity to now being on the verge of finishing her dream degree. Even though Haneen was at first unsuccessful she was able to direct her determination into a positive outcome and she now speaks voluntarily at schools to encourage students to consider Higher Education and to dispel any myths that they may stand in their way.

Students heard a series of funny stories regarding accommodation, finances, every day university life and the hard work necessary to gain that all important place! The next step for our students will be a University Taster Day at Hope University.
