Medals Galore

The Olympics may be over but for Archbishop Beck students, a haul of medals came their way!

At the recent Liverpool Performing Arts Festival held at St Georges Hall, Liverpool, Archbishop Beck Catholic College amassed a total of

  • 4 Gold
  • 4 Silver
  • 3 Bronze medals

The Colleges’ outstanding ensembles were again highly successful, as the College Concert Band won Gold and the Rotary Shield in the Open Concert group section; the Clarinet Ensemble won the Rushworth Music Bowl Trophy; and individual performances in the Solo section saw Radha win the Junior Concerto Class.

Bruce Hicks Assistant Headteacher said “the Festival is an amazing opportunity to perform in one of Europe’s most outstanding buildings and to take part in a Music Festival of the highest quality”

The College will present a concert of winning performances at a “Festival of Winds and Drama” concert on Tuesday 16th March 2010 at St Francis De Sale Church, Hale Rd, Walton, commencing at 7pm – Don’t miss it!
