Poetry Ambassador – Joseph Roberts

“Genuine poetry can communicate before it is understood.” T. S. Eliot

Poets are writing about the tumultuous events of our day. Climate change, local tragedies and of course the pandemic. Joseph Roberts has written a new poem. Joseph Roberts, Head boy of the college has an intense love of poetry and this is demonstrated in this poem.

This latest poem by Joe is a further example of the tremendous talents that this student has. Joseph’s poetry has been able to elicit tremendous emotional responses and in this latest offering I am sure that you will be blow away by the impact it will have on you.

Through the medium of the written and spoken word much emotion, reflection and thought provides both the poet and the reader with a means by which to stop, think and reflect.

Headteacher, Paul Dickinson said, “once again Joseph is able to draw an emotive response from an event of world importance today. He is able to demonstrate the true power of poetry in his work”.
