In a thrilling basketball match between Archbishop Beck College and Alsop High School, Archbishop Beck triumphed 33-31 in a nail-biting finish. With the scores tied, Luca Shellard stepped up and calmly sunk two free throws to secure the victory. A special mention goes to Joel Johnson and Connor Stone for their outstanding performance throughout the game, and Lily deserves recognition for her excellent refereeing display, ensuring a fair and smooth match.

Winning by 2 points. Scores were tied but Luca stepped up and scored 2 free throws to make it 33-31.

Headteacher, Paul Stirling was full of praise for the team saying, “This was an inclusive Basketball game for Year 10/11, in which some students had their first experience of representing the college in a competitive fixture”.
