They Could Have Danced All Night

Congratulations to the college Dance Ensembles who recently took part in the regional semi-finals of the prestigious Dance competition “The Great Big Dance Off”. The competition was held at the Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester.

Our Dancers performed 2 dances but of particular note was a choreographed dance called “Justice for 96”. This received outstanding comments. When the results were in, the College had achieved an amazing 297 points out of a possible 300, making the college ensembles the only school in the country to win both sections of the competition. They now go onto the National finals on the 7th July which is held at the Deco Theatre in Northampton.

On Thursday 28th April the students took part in the Liverpool School Sport Partnership Competition. Yet again they received amazing results winning the KS3 section and our dance ‘justice for 96’ won the best dance of the competition.

Amazing results from an amazing group of students. Well done and yes “you could have danced all night”.
