CISI Annual Dinner

Five Apprentices where cordially invited to CISI s Annual Black Tie Dinner at Crown Plaza on May 22nd June. Greg, Connor, Paul, Amy and Lewis all arrived at the red carpet event looking extremely smart in all of their finery. Throughout the evening, the Apprentices were mentioned frequently in the speeches delivered by key CISI Speakers. The Apprentices also listened to Kevin Keegan who delivered a fantastic after dinner speech. Throughout his speech, Kevin kindly offered words of wisdom to the Apprentices.

All five Apprentices who attended are employed by Rathbones. Rathbones have been extremely supportive of the apprentices and have invested greatly in their professional development, we at Archbishop Beck wish all Apprentices following our Apprenticeship Programme every success for the future.

As well as apprentices being recognised, Archbishop Beck was also mentioned in the keynote speech delivered by Jon Walker (Chair of the CISI Committee, Liverpool). Archbishop Beck deliver a CISI Diploma in Securities and Investments, this Diploma is an A Level equivalent, it covers a range of topics including Macro Economics, financial accounting, stock market shares and derivatives to name but a few.

Archbishop Beck work closely with the CISI Committee to deliver a high quality course to a number of students from across the city, including students from Archbishop Beck, Calderstones, Holly Lodge, King David, St John Bosco and St Julie s. These students have been studying for the CISI Diploma since October 2013, they attend sessions each week held at either Deutsche Bank, Investec, Pershing or Rathbones. Guest speakers from the industry attend each session and speak to the students about how the information they have covered on the syllabus is used on a daily basis within the industry. CISI Diploma students have 2 exams this summer and we wish them the best of luck.
