Project Ghana Continues to Support Schools in Ghana
On 25th May 2015, the project distribution leader in Ghana, Ms Catherine Nelson, delivered a presentation to the head teacher, Mr. Dickinson, in his office at Archbishop Beck Catholic College following her visit to Nkaseim Basic School in the Brong Ahafo region. Also present were members of the Project Planning Committee: Ms Johnson, Mr Benson and Mr Nelson.
In a brief meeting, Ms Nelson said she took the opportunity to visit two other schools in the region that could benefit from the donations. (See attached presentation). Two schools were identified – the Nkaseim Senior Secondary School and Junior High School. These two schools have been targeted for her next visit and she is currently making logistics arrangements for the distribution of the items before the end of the year.
Ms Nelson went on further to say that the plan for the medium term is to establish an effective library in each of the schools visited in all three Regions in Ghana. So far six basic schools, three secondary schools and two orphanages have benefited from Project Ghana.
Mr Dickinson thanked Ms Nelson for the update and pledged his continuous support. Ms Nelson extended the gratitude from the schools in Ghana to Mr. Dickinson, the planning committee and all the schools in Liverpool for their donations and support. The children in all the schools also say a big thank you to Mr Kevin Boyle of SDV UK Limited, who is also a former student of Archbishop Beck.
