Annual Civic Mass

Ask not what your country can do for you; ask what you can do for your country.” John F. Kennedy After an absence of two years the Annual Civic Mass was  celebrated on Sunday 27th February 2022. The annual Civic Mass celebrates community leadership and civic life across Merseyside. Guests in attendance  included, The Lord Mayor of Liverpool, The Lord Lieutenant of Merseyside, The Mayor of Liverpool, The High Sheriff, the Honorary Recorder of Liverpool and members of the Judiciary and Consular Corps. In addition there were also  representatives from all walks of life in the City, including the universities, the Armed Services, Police & Fire Services, Catholic societies and schools. The college community was represented by Mr and Mrs Stirling and family.  Mr and Mrs Hicks. Senior college ambassadors, Head Girl and Head Boy, Rachel and Ken Speaking after the event, Paul Stirling, Headteacher said, “it was a special privilege to be part of this celebration. A wonderful  colourful procession, wonderful music sung by the Cathedral Choir made the event even more spectacular”. The Archbishop spoke of the importance of doing your civic duty to the very best of your ability and with the highest integrity. The service was followed by a reception in the Pontifical Hall.
