Our senior Dance students had the opportunity to attend the live musical production of “Pretty Woman”. They also managed to see the spectacular ceremony of the changing of the Guard at Buckingham Palace and to top the day off a meal at renowned   EL&M London restaurant. Pretty Woman: Savoy Theatre, London. Based on the classic film starring Julia Roberts and Richard Gere, Pretty Woman: The Musical tells the story of a chance encounter between Vivian Ward and businessman Edward Lewis. Edward invites Vivian to escort him to several events during his stay in Los Angeles. Through spending time together, their relationship develops as they get to know each other better. The Pretty Woman musical adaptation opened on Broadway in 2018 at the Nederlander Theatre. Pretty Woman London performances began at the Piccadilly Theatre on 13 Feb. 2020, however performances were cancelled a month in due to the pandemic. The show then reopened at the Savoy Theatre in July 2021. Speaking on return to the college Ms Forster said, “A very early start for the group, but what an enjoyable experience with a wonderful, mature and intelligent group of young people”.
